Default new guy here

hi all. im fabio, aka fab or fabz. i was referred by my sis'* bf justin, who has a white bonnie. my first car was an 87 caprice classic with a 9c1 diguised in "old man" grey metallic and wire wheels and whitewalls. extremely classy car and i got looks everywhere i went. my current car is a 98gp gt 2dr which also gets looks when cleaned up nice, but my heart belongs to a triple black 77gp with t-tops and a 455h/o. i do not own a 77 but i will one day before my grave is dug. i loved gm'* for a long time with the exception of sunfires, cavaliers, azteks, vibes, ya know little gm cars that were foreign inspired. im a huge fan of early classics prewar-87 and some modern day muscle cars. i wont lie i also like some lincolns, and some mopars, but i hate fords except grand torinos/torinos and the old starskey and hutch. though i know some people will be offended that i like some lincolns and some mopars im all about gm for life. i hate low riders and donks, personally i believe doing that is a sin. i believe as a guy that works in graphics, if i were working at the design/engineering desk at gm, id be pleasing everybody that buys and pontiac and oldsmobile would still be here with us today. anyways i hope to get to know everybody really soon. drop me an email anytime. thats my 2 pennies and im sticking with it. talk soon
ps- i attached 2 pix of my gp, but couldn't find pix of my caprice anywhere.

Welcome to the GMForum. We won't hold it against for Justin.
Alot of GM lovers here, most sre Ford hatin but I myself have as couple Fords I wouldn't shove out of my garage if I owned them. I myself have a Ram 3500 and love it, and take quite the jabs fro the wife having a Prius.

man. i like your gxp, looks wicked fast! hide the keys from the wife! shame they only made it for 1-2yrs, it was sweeeeeet! if they made that in a 2dr, it would be sitting in my garage right now cause im a big guy that lifts weights and i cant be sitting in anything small. thats why i like my gp its so spacious like a cadillac!

Bonne over GP for room, regardless of 2 Dr/ 4Dr. I'm 6'4" @ 250Lbs. Plenty of room. The GXP is a Caddy in disguise, Even the drive train. It'* suspension isn't found in any other Pontiac.

@raptor660: ya, i gotta win the lotto or win4life first before i get all that done. the 77 i dream about, only 5 of them were made and i cant find any of them so i'll be making my own. it was truely thee most special thing ive ever seen next to the hurst collection.

@gxpvenom: oh i definitely agree about the room, i have enough room though cause its only me in the car and an occasional date or "give me a ride to...." like that sorta thing. plus its a personal vehicle if its a 2dr in my opinion. thats why im so old fashion when i say i only like 2drs. bonnies, gps, can ams, caddys, they were all 2drs way back when and they look nice in my opinion. 4dr is better if you have a family or your carry lots of stuff around consistantly for a job or something. dont get me wrong, 4drs are nice on some occasions but when its just me, i like a 2dr cause there would literally be no use for the back 2drs. very true with the gxp being a caddy in diguise. but i dont think its a northstar engine though, i think its the 5.3 seen in the newer gp'*. but then again i could be wrong too... either way i still have love for them, 2dr, 4dr but if its my own i want 2dr.

What? We've been lied to for all these years of owning them???
The GXP is powered by the LD8 4.6L all aluminum NORTHSTAR engine. And the engine cover states so. I suggest you open the hood of one sometime.

Bahahahahahahahaha!!! One thing your going to find out right away here:
We know Pontiac here inside/out. Trust me. Mine is even nitrous injected, I know it very well.

i stand corrected. see thats the thing, i dont have knowledge of newer cars thats what makes me old school.

ya justin with the white bonnie was telling me yur car has nitrous. im not into that whole thing. im more "all throttle no bottle" but its all about preference.

Not about preference with the Northstar. It has a locked PCM proven uncrackable for 7 years running. If I had choices, nitrous wouldn't have been it, But when the ricer pulls up and the light runs green; it doesn't matter how ya got ahead...... just that you did.
