2012 TRANS FLUID CHANGE
Hello Guys
I just had the fluid changed in the transmission on my 2012 Terrain. This is one of those transmissions that are a sealed unit with no pan.
When looking at my bill/description of service, there is a $37 charge for installing a transmission flush kit #MOC2531. I'm just wondering what the flush kit is exactly.
Just curious. If some could educate me on this procedure I would appreciate it

Perhaps some sort of T connector installed on your transmission cooling lines so they can hook up their pump to flush the transmission? The strange thing is that flush kit part number does not show up in a Google search.

I'd be surprised if the even did it. But why are you flushing the trans when its only 3 years old?

Actually its 4 1/2 years old and has 75000 mi on it. It'* been driven across the country several times and some of those miles were under fairly severe conditions in terms of temp and terrain. It'* a 4 cylinder so you really have to use the manual shift option quite a bit when driving in the mountains.
Just driving around home is a lot of stop and go. It'* a 6 speed trans and is changing gears a lot.
Just rather be safe than sorry.

Point taken----Thanks
As you know there is no dip stick on this model to check and see the condition of the fluid. maybe that'* why they designed it that way, they don't want you to see it.
