Back to the same-o today. Started off in Auto 4wd and it jumped back into 2wd.

The 4x4 switch probably is the problem. There were many updates to the part and many TSB'* on it. If it acts up again even in warm weather I would throw a switch at it.

just wondering...I have the 4x4 gmc Sonoma with front and rear 373 limited slip.. I should add the limited slip additive to the front as well? maybe its a stupid question.guy before me just used straight gear lube and im wondering if that'* not why the differential is all seized up now?

not limited slip. locking diff and both front and rear take non-lim slip. gm has a tsb on this too as limited slip fluid can damage your diff

Interesting when'* called the dealer they told me that the front And rear were the same 373 limited slip according to my vin number.. Thanx for the info guys

the online manual doesnt list parts for most things, and the gm parts sites dont want you taking the number either it seems

the dealer told you to use limited slip? they havent used that in trucks since the 80'*
