Default Help me mod my new GMC Sonoma!

Hello my fellow GM owners!

I just purchased my first GM truck. A 2000 GMC sonoma 4cyl RWD extended cab SLS 5 speed. And there'* a few mods I'd like to ask y'all about...

I'm interested in putting 2010 corvette c5 10 spoke (split 5 spoke) wheels on my truck but do not know if I have to use spacers?

Is there a lockable handle for the truck bed I can purchase that will work with my power door locks? (I'm planning to install a truxedo)

My truck did not come with floor mats. Any recommendation for rubber floor mats that does not move around? (My truck is a 5speed manual, and I hate driving a stock with floor mags that move)

On the truck lift gate one of the support cables is split in half. Any recommendation for a website to get good GMC parts cheap???

and finally thinking about purchasing a K&N cold air kit, or should I get a drop in filter???

Thanks on advance,
Sffred

the rims- pretty likely, i have 2000 sonoma rims on my firebird and they are almost the same as thirdgen stuff. people who put corvette rims on though normally have to run spacers. the amount of space depends on how far you want them to stick out or not. you would have to measure your fender clearance.

the tailgate holder, you see if rockauto has them?

k&n- the drop in you can make your money back on mileage and reuse of the filter. the hole system doesnt gain mileage in the rpm range you use for good mileage so they are way expensive for nothing basically.

what it really needs is 4 more cylinders.

they were the sport option sonoma wheels and i painted them, alot cheaper than corvette wheels and the spacers arent cheap either.

only trouble is finding the hub caps, almost impossible. the four rims had two caps they are supposed to be flat. i have found that the iroc 5 spoke ones fit if you heat and bend out the tabs that hold them in, the cap itself is the same size for the cap hole on the wheel. bought a box of those off thirdgen.org for 20-30 bucks. they wanted 50 to 60 each for the sonoma ones.

New Pair Set Rear Tailgate Cable Latch Assembly 1988 2000 Chevrolet Pickup Truck | eBay

I'd grab a Power Tailgate Lock, ziptie the wires to the Tailgate cable. grab a rubber grommet and make a small hole to run the wires through. Run the wires to the front cab and tie them into the BCM for lock and unlock.

This site is pretty good with parts.

1982-2004 Chevrolet S10/GMC S15 and Sonoma 1983-2005 Chevro - LMC Truck Features Products

Like Justin said, yank that 4 banger out and drop a 5.7 in like I did.
