Default 04 Saturn VUE

Admin said I could ask on this Forum. Can't get SaturnForum to load.

Last 8-10 feet of braking, something under hood makes a "grunting" sound.
Was going to have my wife drive while I layed on top of the engine(scary idea by itself) to determine where it was coming from.

Today, the grunting stopped and my ABS light came on. I assume it is the ABS motor. What do you VUE guru'* think??? Thanks in advance. Johnny in the Rockies.

It could be something in the abs. Is there a strange vibrating in the brake pedal when this happens?

the trucks have a problem where the wheel sensors get full of crap and mess up the readings slightly, but enough to make the computer think the wheels are slipping every time you stop. most of the time all you have to do is clean the sensor and the hole
