03 Denali stalling
Hello everyone
Im new to this site and I hope I posted in right area.
I have a denali it started in feb truck dying and stalling out took it to walmsrt to test the battery and thwy said it was alternator...took it to a shop theh told me only error the got was out MAFS they said it was dirty they cleaned it and truck was good for 6 weeks. Got it back ywsterday from a body shop (bumper repair) and driving home ot stalled like 6 times mainly when at a stop sign or red light.
Checked it today and batter voltage was between 13-14 decided to change the battery. When first started the car battery volted up to 15. Took it for a test drive few timws felt like it would stall but didnt. Turned the radio on and it stalled (brakes and wheel locked) about 7 times took 15 minutes to get into drive way.
Any help would be greatly apprieciated

If the shop you take your truck to tells you not to worry about the check engine light being on, you need to take it to a new shop. Knowing why the light is on could be the key to why your truck is stalling. Take it to Autozone and they will scan it for free. Tell us what the diagnostic trouble codes are, and we might be able to determine what to do to correct your problem.

In the meantime, try disconnecting the electrical connector from the MAF and take your truck for a drive to see if it still stalls.

Locate the large black plastic square box where the air filter is located. There will be a 3" or 4" diameter "accordian" tube going from that box to the top of the engine. Between the box and the start of that tube you should see wires going into an electrical connector. There will be a tab on the side of that electrical connector that you have to pull up to release the connector and disconnect it.
Asking questions about things you don't know does not make you sound dumb. On the other hand, mispelling your name (Jennofer) puts you under suspicion.
