Throttle body gaskets changed between 92/93 and 94/95...older style is reusable if I remember correctly. The parts guy was probably prompted by his computer to ask which engine you have as the 94 may have been in a transition phase (i.e. early 94 production).

Remember, most parts monkeys are only as smart as their computer screens.

There was no transition plate in early 94. 94/95 are a paper gasket. 92/93 are a plastic gasket similar to the LIM gaskets, and are no more re-usable than your LIM gaskets. After a couple months you have to consider them scrap.

Next time have them cross the gasket to the part number that matches BOTH the 94 and 95 supercharged engine.

You need a Vin1 from 94/95. NAPA will hook you up.

well the MAF screen was to small ofcourse o well back to square one on that

put the new plugs and wires on and she seems better the idle has smoothed some but still can feel it and goes in and out kinda not realy surging but not rite ither that is why i was going to put the MAF screen back in that and now the charger is making more knocking ( the coupler is gone if it is in there at all i can almost get a 1/3 of a turn befor it catches has ben this way since day 1 )
but still builds good boost dont have a clue about that one so i guess on the shoping list for the dealers is a maf screen aswell

who would have thought that the maf screen out of a L36 and L67 would be difrent sizes
