Default Anybody else'* Bonne do this??

I noticed today that when I'm driving with just my fog-lights and running lights on (the **** turned to running lights) that if I turn my wipers on higher than the lowest setting it kicks on my headlights. Does anyone else'* Bonne do this?? I know these cars are smart, but geesh lol

Yeah newer cars turn on the headlights after the wipers are on for a certain amount of time. My brother'* 04 GP does that. The new Aura also has speed variable wipers which is pretty nice.

must be a drl feature.....not sure dont think the older cars without DRLs can do it, possibly not even the pre-2000 cars.

Yeah it kind of got me off guard when it happened. I probably never would have noticed it if I didnt have a truck infront of me. At first I was like hmm..maybe there is an electrical problem, then I thought ok, maybe not, this car is just to smart for it'* own good.

Hans...it has nothing to do with the DRL'*, if it were...the Canadian models that always required DRL'* would probably have it.

I pulled up a schematic of the windshield wiper switch, there is an output to the headlamp on w/wipers signal.

You also need to keep in mind, 2000+ cars are data buss controlled in many ways. Using my scan tool..I can turn on lights etc in my truck w/o touching the switches.

Default My GXP does that

and the OM says that if you turn off your twilight sentinel it will disable the feature. Guess what...don't work. But I don't care. Others bloggers are right. Not linked to DRLs. I pulled fuse 30 about 15 mins after I bought the car and it doesnt affect either the wipers or the auto-light on/off feature. Now'* that'* a perfect set-up.

I never paid attention. You've got me curious now. I'll test it tomorrow.
