Default suggestions on what to do with wrecked Bonneville?

My wife had a minor accident yesterday that damaged the hood and headlights on our 96 Bonneville. With 138000 miles on it, its not going to be worth fixing. Probably a stupid question, but does anyone have any ideas on how/where to sell it other than a junkyard? It runs and drives perfect, and has a new transmission in it. Thanks for any input.

You could part it out......

Get some pics......and post them up here, chances are someone around your area may be able to fix the car themselves or use it for parts.

If it'* just head lamps, hood, and a bumper maybe.....then I doubt it'* a total loss.

Very true, you can prolly fix the car for under $400, if that is the only damage

if it has a new trans and drives perfect, then keep it and fix it! it would be sad to part out a perfectly operating vehicle...

I'd love to keep it, its just that it bent the radiator support back, so its going to be more than a bolt-on repair, and any body shop is going to charge more than the car is worth. Strangely enough, it didn't even hurt the bumper, as the nose of our car slid under the bumper of an Expedition. I'm going to look into trying to pull our the support, though.

parting outa running and driving 96 would be unheard of

we only carried liability on it, since it had such high mileage, and our insurance company "totalled" it a few years ago after a hail storm. It has pretty major hail damage to the trunk, roof, and hood (I guess the hood will be new now!)

Hey, just fix her up, just go to a junkyard and find a replacement trunk (preferablly the same color).

Trust me, your car suffered minor damage, some of the people have totalled their bonnes and they still rebuilt them and they're still on the road today.

400 bucks to fix it versus 250-350 monthly payment, you do the math

considering the hail damage.. its a whole nother story...

how is the interior? you could put it on ebay as is.. and maybe get 500-1000 for it...

junk yard will give you next to nothing
