Default Would CLR be a good cleaner to use in a washer bottle to clean the motor and lines?

The last couple of months I have been getting a very weak spray out of my nozzles to clean off my windshield. So I am want to know if I could use some CLR to clean up the motor and clean out the buildup in the lines before I half to replace my washer motor. I am trying to avoid of having to replace it if I can. Also from time to time the motor will engage but nothing comes out of the lines. Also I have checked all the lines and they have no cracked or breaks in them. So would CLR be a good cleaner to use or should I use something else. Any and all advice will be helpful. Thanks.

Honestly though, no CLR wouldn't hurt anything in the washer system. If the weak spray isn't due to clogged lines though, could be the pump starting to fail. Only way to fix that would be a new pump obviously.

I would be more concerned about the painted surfaces the CLR will get on when you spray it.

Blockages tend to happen at the most restricted flow section, and in the case of a windshield washer system that is right at the exit nozzle. I would take a pin, paper clip, or something like that and try to clear the nozzle exits before putting chemicals into the system. Try pulling the hose off each nozzle, and blowing back into the nozzle to see if it is blocked.

if what 2kg4u said doesnt work, remove the hose from the wipers and put them into a jug or something, then flush it with some soapy water or something before using it for its intended purpose again. god only knows what clr would do on paint
