Well, my car blew up

I had left it sitting for 3 weeks while on break, and when I got home, the battery was dead. So my boyfriend tries to jump it (the cables were CORRECT, I SWEAR).

I tried to start it, it sputtered for a second then literally exploded. My engine cover flew off, the engine was smoking and on fire, scary as all $%^&. Had to call the fire department and everything. Fortunately we were okay and my boyfriend got his car out of the way safely.

So they put it out and stuff... and I'm just wondering.. WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED??? What made my engine spew itself all over the street? And, is it even possible that it will work again? I love that car

SIGH, no more mini-meet in Columbus, I guess...

Backfire. It'* happened before to a couple here. I think it has to do with a leaky FPR.

Yup, you were the culprit of the leaky FPR. Sorry to hear, looks like you won't be making it to the mini-meet.

OH yeah, and there was like, oil all over the street, if that means anything. It'* been leaking for a while, but I never saw it leak this much.

AND, I just went out for another look, and the engine was filled with water (!??)

I'd drain that oil soon if I were you; that milky stuff is coolant and oil, not good

wow, that sucks.

Hopefully it didn't hurt anything in the heads (valves/ springs ) and if it didn't then that'* only a day or so of work to fix.
