No difference adding a cap or a Second battery

In order to get away from dimming lights you need one or the other!!

How will adding a second battery strain the Alt ??

Once you get over the 1500 Watt level you need one or the other with out you are straining the Battery and Alt

And remember once you get to this level adding 0 gauge from front to back is also recommended

If you have the means to do so I would highly suggest adding a second battery, Kinetik are likely the best deal

Caps are ok with small systems but once the bass hits hard once the cap is discharged and the cap is trying to recharge while the amp is trying to get power to run.. Cap is just trying to play catch up. Do u see any Competition level systems with capacitors.
A second battery and big 3 upgrade will do much more than a cap. If ur intent is to impress high school kids get a cap. And make sure to mount it so it can be seen. LOL

i ran 4 caps in series.. they charge a lot faster then a battery..

your also talking to a guy who pushed 135db from 2 12'*

you can drain a battery and make it play catch up just like a cap

I dont know man.. Ive always heard to not buy a cap. I was on a couple car audio forums (caraudio.com, SMD.com, ect) and i was thinking about getting one a couple years back and got laughed right off the forums from the pro'* and moderators. About the whole cap thing. THEN went to Mr. Tunes with my buddy to get a box built for his 2 10" L7'* and they also told us they are just a sales pitch and they wont even sell em anymore

i made 133 db from two twelves and my system now is only pushing 500 watts my sub is 1200 and i run a hifonics 500w amp so i really dont need a cap or a second battery but my alternator is bad when i hit my brakes my headlights dim i wish they made a 140 amp alt for my buick but theyre all 105
