Are you storing it inside or out? If you can start it once every other month and move it a head or a back a foot. If stored outside park on top of some wood planks, keep tires from freezing to the ground.

For some reason or another... my uncle bought 94 MR 2 turbo (new) and ever sence he has always put it away for 10months a year... (he lives 600km north of me!)
anyway...
he : Plugs the exhaust with tennis balls (no fart can, so tennis balls(4) are fine)
: Cleans it, polish whole 9 yards.. in and out (keeps the crap from sinking in)
: Puts in an air cleaner(inside the car) again so dust and stink dont sink in over time...
: Rips the trunk(well hood ) appart (carpets) get them steam cleaned... dry and put back.. let the trunk air out, water can get in there... if it sits for long time the mold.
: Fixes any rock chips or niks (so he wont have to **** around next summer when he wants to drive it)
: Removes tires/wheels, and stacks at the wall (jack stands/ good suport)
: Puts a sock in the intake (dust n crap over time)
: Starts the car.. lets it warm up.. idle every 3weeks (remove sock/tennis balls and replace battery)
: puts clean car cover over it, then a new tarp(I dunno why... yes its inside).

Now you mite not have to go this syco... but this guys 94 MR2 only has 30,000kms...

For the convertable... you mite wanna clean all the mechanisms.. regrease.. Now detailing a car in and out is tough.. so Id sujest getting it done by a pro.. its only afew hundred...

I have heard mix opinions on this. I would consult a reputable source before stroing first. Any good auto body shop might have some good info.

Or search the web etc.

Run it every few weeks, and turn on the ac too when you do it to help lube the seals.

Maybe drain as much gas out as you can. Or else put some of that treatment stuff in.

You don't want to drain the gas. You want it to be as full as possible. If you leave it empty, the moisture in it will condenstate and cause rust to form, which is a very bad thing.
