Why don't the projects ever end?
Well, I'm sure many of you know Toddster went home from the meet topless. OK, that'* a little disturbing I know. But it'* the only way he could get one of my next projects here.
My plan is to put one of these on it.
He also dropped off another set of fuel rails. These look much easier to modify then the L67 ones. And they seem to be exactly the same. So I'm going to get started on these.
This is sitting in the corner screaming at me to start working on it. Ya ya, I just need a few parts for you.
These have been sitting on the bench for a while. Hope to get these ported and have over sized valves installed. Just need a cam and timing chain to have this project ready to go.
I have a set of exhaust manifolds, the rear one is ported, guess I should do the front one as well. then perhaps I can sell them and open up a shelf so something else can be put there for me to do.
A LIM, where did this come from? Ok ok, guess I can port and polish that too. Open more room for other things for me to do.
Every where I look there'* something else. OK, port and polish the M90. I might even weld the silencer slots shut.
Hmm, if I move all this stuff I can get more stuff to put on my car. Ya, I like this idea. Let'* see, what do I need. Hmm, cam, timing chain, gears for the trans, a few other trans parts, new injectors, N* throttle body and MAF. Ya, that'* all.
That'* it, then I'm done.

ROFL!!!. TO much to do. I've gotten to an age where I'm glad I cant get my fingers between the engine compartment and the Northstar engine. Keeps me out of it. Hmmm, what to do? Guess I can go top off my nitrous tanks and hit the car wash.

One of these days I'll get serious about modding my car and it'll be a mean machine. Totally understand the bug Dan. Best thing I can tell you is never under buy. If you want a TB, go big. If you want gearing do it. When I bought pems, I later regretted it because by the time I was about to be happy...something else changed and I needed headers.
My latest unhappy is the noise of my exhaust. Too loud, and yet..I'm running a stock replacement muffy.

Did the same thing with my exhaust. Got PEMs, I'll be happy with that. Now my exhaust is as big as it can get short of replacing it with 3" When I get my heads done I'm going to have as much lift as I can get, just in case.

See that Dan. The slow guys gotta joke around becuase they don't understand yet.
They don't realize soon with that stock muffler, I'll be way past noise restrictions, forgetting all the other laws about modding that I've violated.
On the heads, have the spring seats milled down to ensure you have 1.800" between the thinner LS style retainer and the spring seat. Stock usually falls in the 1.78XX category which can add spring pressure when you don't want it.
Next up is have your valve guides milled down. You'll want .600" clearance between the valve seal and retainer. Currently the heads on my engin are closer to .700" lift capable...which is good being that the total lift is .592".
