Leslie, your in luck. I did some searching for some parts near you, matching colours.

I'm sure you can make it out ahead in this one by doing the work yourself or with the assistance of your coworkers and put the remainder in paying off the car

There are a lot of SSEi'* in yards, even some white ones within a few hours of you (i checked around on car-part.

Should be no problem finding a white bumper and just swap it on assuming theres no subframe damage.

Taillights are often on ebay for cheap.

I'm sure you can get it all fixed for 1/3 of the estimate if you fetch the parts yourself.

I just heard back from the adjuster. He is going with Riverdale Body Shop'* estimate. And the a$$es are writing the check to the body-shop.

You should be able to have it fixed anywhere you want. Tell dummy to stop writing, but thanks for the extra $100

This insurance company is someone we have dealt with on a regular basis. The guy I know told me that there isnt to much I can do. The car is going there. But there is a guy that I know that works at a Riverdale bodyshop here in Indiana, so I'm going to request that my car go there. My friend there will work with me.

DO NOT SETTLE FOR THAT.

You have the right to have the check made out to you for any body shop you want it fixed at.

Legally. DO NOT SETTLE FOR A CHECK TO THE BODY SHOP.

The accident WAS NOT YOUR FAULT. You were rear ended..I had to fight to get it but it only took a few calls and it was resolved.

Hans is 100% correct, don't let the insurance company make you do what you don't wanna do.
