305'* made about 130-140 HP in the late 80'*..
Ummm...Or 190. The 3.1'* made 140hp, I think maybe you got them confused?

Lets hear about putting down a SHO, a 300M, Intrepid, 525, or LHS.
Hmmm....Where should I start???

Part of the problem is that a lot of cars don't want to race because they just think they are so much faster. Not necessarily the cars you listed, but the main problem is Z28'*, WS6'*, Corvettes, Porches, and BMW'* and that type. They seriously sit an laugh at the corner if you rev the car or something.

My mom raced her boss in her SSEi, and he has a 300M, the SSEi didn't walk away from the 300M, it RAN AWAY from it, it wasn't even close. At that time all the SSEi had was a Pulley & K&N air filter IIRC, but an SSEi with a Pulley is 270hp, 350tq., so it completely wasted the 300M.

We also beat an SHO in the SSEi, I think (I don't know SHO'* very well) it was a V8 (which are slower than the V6'*). We didn't have very many mods at the time, but we didn't completely blow it away, but we definately beat it.

We beat a mid 90'* 4.6 liter 5 speed mustang in the SSEi with just the K&N & 3.4 pulley. We beat it by ~1-2 cars by 50.

2 times ago at the track with the GTP my dad got lined up with a '70 Challenger with a 440 6-Pack. It ran a 13.50 to the GTP'* ~12.90 run that time. Needless to say, the guy in the Challenger was not very happy.

Now...for the LHS. The last time we took the GTP to the track on the way home (its about 70 miles away, 2/3 of it is freeway) on the freeway we were crusing along at 76mph. We had my dad, my grandfather, and me in the car. The trunk had the slicks in it, the jack, 5 gallons of race gas, a bunch of tools, and other random things. In the back seat was the autotap, laptop, helmet, and a few other things, and the car had a full tank of 93 octane gas. So it was fairly loaded down with weight, I would guess probably 4100 or 4200lb. total weight. It also still had the track pulley on it, which gets knock retard on pump gas so it wasn't running optimally. So, back to the story, we were cruising down the highway at 76mph. The highway was basically empty because it was 11:30 at night, there was the occasional car here and there, and the occasional semi, but basically empty. So, for about 10 minutes there was a LHS that we could see ahead of us, it was going probably 70ish. So we catch up to it since we are going 76, and as soon as we start passing it they are coming up on a semi, and it is only a 2 lane highway, so they figure they will speed up and get in front of us to pass the semi. Well, my dad didn't want to wait behind them while they were passing the semi, because the Semi was only going about 1mph slower than the car, so we would've been there for a while, so when the LHS started to speed up so they could get in front of us, so did we, so then they nailed the gas, so did we. We were very quickly and easily in front of it. So the whole time we are passing the semi the LHS is about 5 inches from our rear bumper, but remember now we are going about 85-90 because we nailed the gas to pass the LHS, and this LHS was just going 70mph a few seconds earlier, and now at 85 they are staying right behind us. So, once we got in front of the semi, we moved over in the right lane and were still coasting back down to 76, and the LHS started to pass. As soon as the front of the LHS was lined up with the front of our GTP they nailed the gas, well now the highway is empty in front of us, because the semi is now behind us, so my dad nails the gas at the same time, and again, quickly and easily blows past the LHS, now going about 100mph. So, the LHS pulls behind us in the right lane, and and starts driving about 77-78mph. My dad just lets the car coast back down to 76mph (where the cruise was set at) and we continue the ride home. Well, obviously the LHS driver did not learn, because once they caught up to us (they were going 2mph faster) they slowed down to the same speed as us and were looking really closely at the car trying to figure out what it was (I think), and then, once again, they nail the gas. Well, just like the last 2 times, my dad just nails the gas, and this time sticks his hand out the sunroof and waves as we (just like the last 2 times) quickly and easily pass the LHS. It was pretty funny.

i mean you dont see many 85 yr old guys sittin at the stoplight revvin it mutterin "cmon beeatch lets see what you got".
Wow...you haven't met my grandfather have you? Of course he is only like 60 or something, but still.

I sure would like to leave an SHO 90. Those things are fast without a stick. I remember trying to beat one...(Laughing to myself for embarrasment)...in 2000. It was 1am. The light is red. I pull on the side of it in my aunts GP GT. The light turns green, we both peeled.........and then I see his SHO bumper. I was like, what the hell? Until last year on this line I figured out why he left my aunts car.

I managed a Ford kill today. Not much to brag about. A "souped up" early 90'* escort with a couple of the local college punks in it. I guess they weren't happy that I refused to speed through the residential area we were in, so when we finally pulled onto I-35 I heard them gunning up thier engine. I responded in kind and just left them sitting there while I worked my way over to the center lane through Minneapolis. As usual, once I hit between 60 and 65 I decided "Okay, fast enough. There'* a game later and the cops will be looking for idiots out". Well, this gives them a chance to finally catch up. They're on the right, and the wife looks over at them and starts laughing and telling me how pissed off they look.

Guess they didn't like thier little hot rod getting smoked by a 95 Chevy Astro Van ! Just think how mad they would have been if the Bonne had gas in it!
