When your car is in distress...................
People, I like this site a whole lot and recieved as much information as I can on here. I know everyone does. But it kinda hurt my heart when someone car isn't working properly and they are trying to get some assistance and prompt as they can, but some ppl try to be funny about it. I was just thinking what if this was your car(If the tables were turned), you wouldn't want nobody joking around with you. We all might need some help one day for this serious type manner. Lets all be grown about it ok

Fair enough, you wanna give me a what if? or where this has occured. I think its safe to assume that this site is very good at showing respect and being as helpful as possible. The brass of this board hasn't and does not tolerate disrespect. However, sometimes you just gotta laugh.
Has this been a personal problem? Or are you speaking on someone behalf? :(

Hmm. I agree that we should be sensitive to others but I don't know. If someone is getting a hard time because, say their car is running rough as a result of mechanical ignorance, then people need to back off.
But, we need to be able to laugh at stuff. I don't mind if people make some jokes because I got a flat tire, or get a tranny failure. It'* no big deal, when a part decides to fail there'* nothing anyone can do about it other than replace it.
If you get stressed out about something on your car going bad, you need to step back, take a deep breath and realize there'* more important things to lose sleep over.
I will now relinquish the soap box.

I am not upset from then. I'm just saying that it happened to me before. I also read some other post were others needed help and some joked around or was being sarcastic. My problems aren't bothering me from a couple of months ago.

I think a certain level everyone laughs at what happens to them most of the time. The world is full of coincidences and chit and everyone has car problems...
I think the laughter is to lighten the mood around here so people aren't always complaining abut what happened to their stuff. That way we can bring up silly stories of our experiences too. But if it'* distasteful, and disrespectul i agree that they need a slap on the wrist..
EDIT: Wasn't me was it? I've had some weird late might posts... If i knew the person personally then maybe, and they woulda understood it.
