Great, now I gotta do it.

Is it shockingly easy as it looks? Because it'* looking like it'* just measure then cut then paint then bolt it then bolt hood back on

is it easy or not?

neather.

It takes time and a lot of thought. Nothing you can rush into.

It takes time, balls, patience, skill and luck. I'd already done mine, and it still took 3 vacation days to do John'*.

BTW, the 5hp gain on the RamAir GA was from tuning, not ram air. Pop the hood of a Ramair GAGT and look at the 'scoop'. It'* a freaking JOKE.

RAM AIR is for stuffing air directly from a scoop into the engine. It is pointless and fruitless if you're already supercharged or turbo'd.

If it'* not directly force-feeding the engine above 100mph, don't call it Ram Air.

Hmm, I'll have to read that thread that you posted so I can fully understand how it takes three days, it seems so straightforward.

If you rush, you WILL make mistakes, and you don't want to make mistakes on cuting holes in your hood!

RAM AIR has been proven ineffective for performance unless you are above 100mph.

I don't call my COOLING system ram air. I call it RAM AIR COOLING, because that'* what it does. Some members call it 'will-ram'.

Fuel, go back and look at the dates of the posts in those topics about John'* install. We busted our asses, knew what we were doing, started with the hood already off the car, and my experience behind us, and the car wasn't done until the 3rd day. This is not 'easy' by any stretch. A goof up is doom.

60°F ambient temps, 15-minute commute.

Checked the temp of the air coming out of the vents at idle as soon as I arrived at work, car idling with fans on. The air was 127°F at the vents.
