Default My 95 SSEi sell as beater or sell for parts?

I have a black 95 SSEi that I bought new in 1996. I babied the car for years and took exceptional care of it. I had a love affair with the car but unfortunately it also was our second car that my wife had to drive daily. Well over the years the miles kept racking up. Now the car has 150K and despite all my efforts over the last decade, it'* pretty much worn out. Most everything works on it, but it is starting to get some operational gremlins and I have the money to buy something new. The car got hailed on and the insurance company totalled it, of course, and cut me a check. My question:
Should I take the car to the ghetto and sell it as a beater for 1500 bucks? Like I said, it still works OK and it'* nice looking except for the hundreds of dents.
Should I try to find some Bonneville enthusiasts who need parts from a well taken-care-of but worn out car to salvage hard to find parts?

Do you have any pics? I might be interested. Where in MO are you? I live about 30 mins from St. Louis.

If its ins totaled, is the title still clear?

Edited to add, hail dents don't bother me too bad, At this point in my life I value function over appearance. Depending on where you are in MO and my finances, I may be interested in the whole car in 30 days or so (tax time!) MrsCrzy and I are trying to decide whether to replace our current twins this year. They refuse to quit though.

I am sure that a hailed body would distract most people from buying it for anything other than parts though, to answer your original question, just my .02 cents.

Sell it whole. The last thing you want is a pieced out car sitting around. Eventually the bulk of the thing will need to go to the junkyard.

I'll try to post a picture if I can remember how.
When I sell the car it will be the whole car at once, I have no place to take a car apart. The question was who to market it to. I own a couple gas stations in the inner city of St. Louis. I could put it on one of my lots with a sign and get rid of it in a week, but I know it would be in the junk yard in four months. That just seems like a waste and a shame for such a cool car. I would love to see someone put the car to good use, but of course, the car IS pretty much worn out. I am the only owner. The insurance company let me keep the car after paying me for the damage.
The picture I will try to post is pre-hail damage, just to get an idea of the car.
If it looks like some Bonneville lovers might want the thing, I will crank out my digital and get a group of current pics. The interior is pretty good but shows the mileage. The AC compressor is 2 years old but the system leaks and will only hold a charge for a few weeks. The supercharger whines - it'* original. New water pump last winter.
I just drove a 2005 GXP Bonne yesterday with 14,000 miles. I am currently arm-wrestling with the dealer over the price. Hopefully the 95 will have to go soon.

Darn - just a red x square. I'll have to relearn how to post pictures.
Got it!
How about that, I'm not computer illit---illeter---ilitter---dumb after all.

The car had synthetic oil for the first 85,000 then the dealer changed it without my permission with regular oil so I didn't go back to synth. Those idiots. The engine runs fine but if you know anything about these 3.8'* then you know they are prone to intake manifold failure. You can see mine is starting to leak just a bit of oil but not enough to hit the floor or smell. Also the supercharger has been whining for years, but it was just not worth replacing with the miles the engine has. To answer your question, no, I would not let my wife take it on a long trip. She drives it daily, but that'* only about 20 miles round trip.
