Hey guys,

Summer is behind the corner and i got those 17inch wheels in my garage. What tires should i put on. 235/45/17 or 225/45/17 wheels are 17x7

I say 235, just because there a little bit wider, but whatever floats your boat. Got any pics of the tires?

I thought 45 were wider? is it the more the number goes up the tire gets thinner?

No, your right about the 245 being wider. I think the taller the tire the thinner it gets

ha ha, sorry about that T, I didn't see that 225 at first, just noticed the 45, yea, 235'* are safer if your roads are all badderd up.

Get whatever fits without worrying about uprgrading or replacing parts later. The bigger the crap the more likely the brake pads and other stuff can go faster. Also remember, more tread on the pavement equals the more sluggish the car will feel.

Just maintain overall tire height, which over one is closest to stock

255/45/17 is the same size as 235/55/17. almost and inch wider but the same diameter.
