The list, in particular order and off the top of my head.
1. drop the front tire pressure (26-28lpsi), raise the rear to 35psi.
2. remove spare tire, jack and other stuff from the trunk (carpet too).
3. Do the elc trick and lift the rear of the car as high as it will go.
4. pull the front wheel sensors (rumor has it to pull the rears too....new stuff).
5. remove the back seat (every pound counts, easier on 2k+)
6. pull the front passenger seat all the way forward.
7. Turn off a/c, stereo, all electrical loads.
8. run with 1/4 tank of gas or less, the higher the octane the better.
9. Move the drivers seat forward, not a comfortable cruising angle but a over the steering wheel hunch effect (especially us big gut guys)
10. apply brakes and rev to 1500 rpm (you will need to get a feel for it but start somewhere).
11. wait for the lights and let her go, mash hard but not too hard and hold it to the floor all the way through the finnish line.

For your year and trim you wouldnt need this, for a 2k+ the traction off only delays the effect so you need to pull the sensors.

PontiacDad, 97+ can pull the wheel sensors to get the same results.

I was at Bonniefest bud, not WCBF.

I removed the following...

Jack
Spare (left cover and carpet in because of threat of rain)
Lug Key
Dropped PSI to 27.5, this didn't seem to affect much. My 15.9 was on 27.5 PSI though.
Ran the High Speed fan (switch) at ALL TIMES once i was within 10 minutes of the track.
Open Hood the whole time
Pulled headlight
Move your drivers carpet mat to the passenger side (pedal goes further) when i did this i ran 15.9
Removed Subs/amp, taped off the wiring for them, pulled the fuse from the power lead.

Almost exactly what I do except I changed #1 to

1) Swap tires and rims for slicks, set to 15psi

Most of us at WCBF only did half that. It was too damn hot to deal with it all.
