Default Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid

Have any of you switched to the Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid ? , Would it be OK in our Bonnies ?, Would it be any better than regular fluid? And I already have 111000 miles on mine ,would that matter ?

It has been advised that synthetic transmission fluid has absolutely no transmission shifting, cooling, or longevity benefit. Synthetic transmission fluids have also been known to be "too slippery" and actually cause clutch slippage as a result, exactly what you don't want. This compounded by the fact that they cost significantly more (usually around 5-600% more) than a good conventional fluid

Just be sure to change the transmission fluid with a good conventional fluid at the recommended service interval and you'll have no problems whatsoever.

While a lot of guys run synthetic engine oil. No anti synthetic bias here. Just don't seem to be worth it in trannys.

Thumbs up on the Max life from me too. Used it on my last change.

Probably gonna do a flush in the near future, so we will see how that works.

I put Lucas Tranny Fix in with all my fluid changes. I can't say for sure if it helps, although I am still on my original tranny, going on 300K
