I want to, but I need more info. Is it really worth the cost? Has anyone done it? Does anyone have any wisdom to offer?
The only information I can find is on sites by manufacturers...I want a little less bias than that. :P

I would definitely do it. I have seen custom installs on some cars and it looks really good. The housing when done right look fantastic, but like I mentioned, I wouldn't spend that kinda money on my 89, and unless I can get low beam Angel eyes and high beam HIDs, there is no value to me.

HIDs are great because the light lines are very defined, if aimed correctly there is no glard and the white light is very brilliant. Plus you get that custom look

Please explain "Angel Eyes" to me...people keep saying it, but I can't find any info on them (except for photos of the lights themselves and pricing info).
Also, do you think a 2000 is new enough to be worth buying HID?

Angel eyes is the term givin to headlamp assemblies that contain a filament ring that wraps around a convex lens (or concave..not sure ) anyway. The science behind it..I'm not sure, but wow..they are very attractive

Wow, they look great! I will probably still go for HID because I am more concerned with better vision than looks though (unless Angel eyes are as good in that respect). Thanks for the pics (that really helps).

i've been considering it for a long time. As soon as I find a reasonable 4300k Philips kit, I will do it. I don't want any deep blue or purple looking ones, I like them the way they appear stock on most newer luxury cars today.

I agree about the blue tint...I have seen ones that the blue looks enhanced and is too deep (mostly on ricers), but I do want the slight blue that I have seen on Audi, Lexus, and BMW (It'* really only obviously blue from certain angles).

Hey Deathrat, got anymore info on those kits? Who makes the parts and what are the color temperatures?

Personally I don't think it'* worth the expense. I think the stock headlights on my 2000 are more than adequate and a lot better than average.
