Default Boo YAH!

I was on an old secondary hwy, i rugged it and hit 185 km/h (110 mph) i think it must be governed because that was it for speed it wasnt even close to red line.

Only thing I'm thinking is the redline being higher won't matter because of the Engine Torque Management. It won't let you shift on your stock redline, it not having that revlimit doesn't matter because your timing and fuel will drop off just before shift anyway. This is fact in Series I supercharged cars. 1997+ is still speculative but they do have a Electronic Line Pressure (ELP) for ECM control of pump pressure

I love getting up there. I do it quite often anymore. Just put your foot to the floor and it takes off. I sometimes wish It didn't have the governor because I want to see how fast it could go. The problem I haven't been able to find a chip for my car. I have a 96 SE and even Hector said I would probably have to have one burnt specially for my car. It was the first year of OBDII. So everything that is offered is up to 95 and 97 and up.

Yeah check out http://westers_garage.eidnet.org/Index2.htm its one of the better companies I've found that'll do custom chips. I'm sure its not cheap though. The 84-95 models are $140 PROM $289 Memcal.

I've gotten mine to 110-112 a couple times on the thruway. So much fun but it burns so much gas so I haven't done it lately. Plus I really don't want to lose my license. I've been lucky so far but you never know when it will run out.

I'm surprised even with the Supercharger it will only go 110!? I would have figured the governor would not be set till 120 or something. That sucks. I wish I could go 140-142mph like Will. I'll get there, just not with this Bonne.

The governor was not set to what the car could do it was set for the stock tire'* speed rating were. As far as I know all the bonnevilles had the same tires stock so the speed rating and the governor would be the same on all of them.
