Bought my GXP with 25k miles in Nov for upper $17k. Everything in it.
Get them down to $17k.especially for an 04.
Check the following two issues with the car. If they have not been fixed use them as leverage.
1) Has the intermediate shaft been replaced? These are going bad like eggs on the sidewalk in Miami in July. That'* an expensive fix and is a well known issue; there is a TSB on it.
2) Have the forward wiring harnesses for the FOG lights been replaced? Again another TSB and another expense.
These are the two known BIG problems with the car (other than the window regulators).
I can't believe they made a GXP without heated seats, moonroof, or HUD, but they did. I rarely use my heated seats, tho.

I'm gonna low ball even more.
Call the dealer and say "would be worth my while to come look at the car if the highest I would pay is $16,000?"
If they say yes, you've got yourself a new price tag. If they say no, you haven't lost anything, and you've already got the salesman knowing you ain't gonna overpay.
Even better: figure out what tax, title, tag, etc. in PA would be on $16k worth of car...let'* say hypothetically that comes out to $1500. Call them and say "would it worth my while if the highest I would pay, INCLUDING all tax, title, tag, fees--EVERYTHING--was $17,500?"
By negotiating an all-inclusive, or "drive-off" price, they can't sneak in any crap fees.
Go look at the car and deduct $$$ from your $17.5k for defects (worse-than-showroom condition, needs tires, whatever), then claim it doesn't have the "twin dual demodulator package" you wish it had and deduct some more $$$, then make your offer.

Keep in mind that when you trade, you're selling yours at wholesale, and buying theirs at retail. Keep those 2 numbers separate. They'll either make you feel really good about your trade number and not move much on the price of the car, or they'll heavily discount the one they're selling and bone you on the trade. Negotiate wisely.

I've been looking online and I've found at least 2 dozen gxp'* and there just abouit all listed for above 18, a few are below but have high miles. so I don't know how you get them down to 17 especially if its a dealer. oh and I live in ny, so if you guys know anyone selling a gxp bonnie for cheap let me know.
