i agree with danthurs on the ricers, the look on some of their faces is priceless when they get beat by a so called grandma'* car...... also the mean look of the front end, with the bulging fog lights in the center..

Bonnevilles last forever. Both the style and mechanicals are enduring, and the galvanized body keeps them looking new regardless of age. Adequate reliability + adequate rustproofing was an elusive combination, and the Bonneville has BOTH. And a great automatic transmission. And dirt cheap.

I didn't really want a car that everyone else on the road was driving. There are very few Bonnevilles on the road in Canada, especially 2K+ and even fewer GXP'*. Other than that, there were a few things that really attracted me to them. I used to be a pilot and love zillions of buttons. The Bonneville sure has it'* fair share. What really sold me though was the E/M button. On the test drive, the salesman pressed it and when I saw the speedometer needle recalibrate to MPH and I thought that was just too cool. I knew right there I had to have the car. Pretty poor reason to buy a car, but whatever. It'* a Bonneville and I already knew they were an otherwise great car.

Cool

Everyone has made wonderful points but left out a very valueable one... Mine is labeled Police Attraction Red and is very noticable and people give me crap for driving one of those "granny cars" but still like the style and room and the SC under the hood... but my personal favorite piece to her is the sensational ability to run 95+ down the freeway with the lil ricers, and mustangs, and camaros, etc... AND NOT BE THE ONE TO GET PULLED OVER!!! mwuahahahaha hehehe
