What to do?
I've tossing this around for a couple of days and thought it was time to bring it here for opinions. Last Friday I was at the grocery store after work and a guy in a super clean 99 SSEi comes up to me and we start bs'ing, talking cars and what not. He says he wants my car, I said it'* not for sale. He offers me 8k, I said it'* not for sale, the usual "everything has a price" came next, I refused again. I told him it was nice meeting him, gave him a forum business card and started to get in the car to leave. He said "how about this", I cut him short and said there were alot of nice 2k+'* out there for sale, and unfortunately mine wasn't one of them. He said "9500 cash, final offer, here'* my cell number, think about it, call me in a week".
What to do?
If I were to sale it I would be out of the SSEi game. I would replace it with the next logical upgrade.
Not the exact car, but the same color. Opinions are welcome

If I had the opportunity to get a G8 I would. Not sure about the blue book on yours but I know mine is 4.8K private party. Yours would probably be higher but how much? I doubt you'll ever have the chance to get that price for it again. Just my 2 cents.

talk is CHEAP, you're right
but buddy might be serious, and if he was few things to consider.
do you wanna sell your car and spend double maybe triple the money on a G8?
do you wanna pay higher insurance?
if you dont mind the 2 above, id go for it.
G8 is one hell of a car, ill replace the bonnie with it anytime if i didnt live in fort crap
rear while drive is just not right for me here

I think you have too much work in yours right now.
I really despise people that buy cars that someone else put many man hours, sweat and blood into. Its too much of an easy high IMO. Regardless if they are mechanical or not.

If it was me I wouldn't do it. mine with 166,000 on it still books for a little over $6,000 yours being newer and with less miles would be worth more. also your GXP wheels and other random parts that you have put into it is not worth it to me to start from scratch. but that'* me. i got too much into my car to even entertain $9500 for it. I'd be like keep going higher

2002 SSEi with 70k and all options books at $10k, so $9.5k is ALMOST retail price for my car. If somebody came up to me and offered me that cash, I'd take it.

I have been wanting a G8 GT since I got my Bonne, so if someone did that to me I would take it!
If that is more than your car books for and you really want to get something different than go for it.
If your mixed feelings on it, then maybe that means you really dont wanna get rid of it, so then I say keep it.
It'* hard to say lol.
