How long do Cat'* usally last, if it does need replacing then I would rather put a high flow on there instead of a stock one, the reason I'm asking is that sometimes in normal driving I get this rotten egg smell when I get out of the car, and does it really bad if I floor it. Please Help and TY.

I've heard that removing a Cat could decrease and even give you less HP, if this true, plus I want to keep the emmisons down even tho we don't have to be checked.

Will "whacking the cat"(sounds like something I do in my spare time) cause the rear O2 to bring up a code?

On ODB II it will bring up a code, but that can be easily beat with a resistor.
