'93 SSEi vs. '02-'03 Civic i-VTEC
On my way home for lunch today, I saw this car behind me at a stop light. At green I took off "normally"...ten seconds later this car blows past me. I meet him at a light in the other lane. I rolled down my window so he could see me. He was a rich kid driving, I assume, his own car. He gave me a single nod. I did likewise. On green, we took off. I, of course, walked away from him off line. I heard him shift into second, and I was still crawling away. Got one car length. Now here'* the thing:
My car attempted to shift into second, and slipped horribly doing so. When it finally engaged second, I felt it launch again, hard (ouch for my tranny. This is why I don't race much.), but now he was crawling back up to me. He was halfway up my side, when we hit 85 in a 40, and I hit the brakes pretty hard. He should have done the same, because as he blew past me, he got pulled over right in front of me... ...I feel bad for him...
His car looked exactly like this one:

2002-03 Civic 3dr i-VTEC:
A high-output, DOHC, 2.0-liter engine with "intelligent" i-VTEC system
160-horsepower at 6500 rpm and 132 lbs-ft of torque at 5000 rpm
Close-ratio, 5-speed manual transmission
Rally-style shifter mounted on center instrument panel

good job man. feel bad for the guy in the civic though. Those v-tecs are tough engines, I know, my friend has a 3.0 vtec in his 2001 accord and that thing moves right along. But honestly how much is a civic gonna have against an ssei? I mean yeah if the thing was turbo'd I'd understand completely, but it wasn't, so good job again man. I had beaten three civics and I am quite proud of myself cause everyone I know that has a civic, except one person, thinks they are the real deal, but after dealing with my bonnie, they have to rethink stuff cause to be the man, you have to beat the bonnie.
