Paint Ball Attack?
Has anyone ever have a paint ball thrown at their car? Well mine did Friday evening. I had gone out to get some chow. I noticed that when I pulled into the parking lot there were two young kids on bikes. They looked to be about 10 or 11 years old. I didn't discover it until Sat morning when I went to the store. At first I thought it was bird crap because I had parked under a tree while eating. Got a bucket of water to take it off but it wouldn't. I started looking a little closer and discovered it was paint. I was pissed. The main splatter area was the RR quarter panel with smaller spots on the trunk lid. I thought my exterior paint was ruined. If anyone has ever tried to get dried paint off the surface you know what I am talking about. It took me about an hour to get the main splatter marks off using the fingernail method and some rubbing. I just had clayed the car that Friday morning and waxed it using the liquid gold was before this happened. After getting the main splatter spots off I noticed there were still faint traces of paint marks on the surface. I said I will never get the spots out so I decided to clarbar the area again and dammed if it didn't remove all the remaining paint spot. I re-waxed the surface again and now you could never tell if anything was on the surface to begin with. I am definately sold on using the claybar kit.I went back to the place where I ate at and found out I wasn't the only one that got paint balled. There were about seven other cars that got paint balled also. I sure would of like to caught the little A--Hole that did it. It would have been the last paint ball he ever threw. Just thought I would share this with everyone if it ever happens to you.

I will. Am thinking about going back to that place and setting up an ambush. I don't think the paint ball was fired from a gun otherwise it would have left a dent. I didn't have any.

Depends on the gun. The cheapo WalMart models barely have the power it takes to get 'em out of the barrel. The one my son wants would probably kill a small child
No matter the delivery method, though, sounds like a ccouple of kids who definitely are lacking in the proper number of spankings growing up!

wilwren, Yea, you and me both. Took me about an hour to get the paint off. I tried various things to do but came up with a procedure that worked. I wish now I would having taken some pics of the paint splatter before and after but was too pissed off to think about it at the time. The wax I used after using the clarbar was Meguiars Gold Class and I guess it did the trick. Now, you would never know that any paint was on the car to begin with. BTW, the paint ball was flat black.

Luckily, the stuff in paintballs shouldn't be too damaging, at least, the stuff I used... vegetable-oil dyes, and there'* even some detergent in them, apparently. I was pretty amazed at how easily the paintball crap got off my shoes - just rinse, and it starts to lather
