First off welcome to the GMForum and i don't understand your question.Are you asking if its is possible to replace a s2 with an s3?Of course anything is possible will it be easy NO it would mean all new computer/wiring harness/pin switching ect ect.It would be much easier to replace it with a s2

Did this again the other night. It'* a very easy swap. The block, heads, LIM etc are all externally the same and the internals are a little better.
To make this as easy as possible, here'* how you do it.
Swap the UIM over (the metal one would require a $75 TB adapter)
Swap the rear exhaust manifold (all the others are fine to keep)
Swap the oil pan and pick up tube.
Swap the oil filter adapter
That'* all there is to it. A mechanic buddy of mine called and asked about L36 motors and I let him know that most L26'* were going for less money with many less miles. At $300 he got a 60K motor and is a happy guy.
To make this as easy as possible, here'* how you do it.
