I got new struts all around a little while back...it was a good sign to get new ones when my car bounced VIOLENTLY on FLAT roads so much that it literally gave me a mild headache.

The ones on my 99 are still fine. However, the ones on my 93 were shot when I sold it. The easiest way for me to tell was that the car just wouldn't grab the road...especially on the expressway. It always felt like I was sliding on ice on the expressway. Almost felt floaty. If that helps...

Bouncing the car in the rear: nothing. Front: about 5-6 times for it to fully come back. Can you say shot front shocks? And mine floats.. and I love it, except at high speed . Since you live in Michigan, find a shitty road [shouldn't be too hard] and drive on it. Do you feel every bump? Roads that me mum'* vdub jumps around like a ******* wild bull, just has my baby float around like air.
