to touch-up or not to touch up...
ive got about 4 or 5 places on my hood that stick out like sore thumbs, the paint has chipped off and you can see bare metal, should i get a can of paint and touch them up? which would be more noticeable? bare metal or off colored green patches, because im sure it wont match up perfectly...
also whats the best way to use a touch up kit?

ok this is a tip i got from an infiniti dealer....if its really small sometimes the brush is really overdoing it and has way too much paint...to resolve this problem you can use a match of a match book (use the torn end) to apply the paint. it is hard to make the paint look perfect sometimes but i think it is better to use a little bit of paint and put more on if needed because taking off paint is going to be a real pain (also if you add too much paint you get a little bubble looking thing which is never good). they have also just came out with a rollerball paint thing which i have never tried you could see how that works for you, but i think its more for scratches. Good Luck!

The dupli-colour set, with paint, clear coat, wet sand, sand paper, etc.. is the kit to get. Get the matching colour [all GM colours will be in there, use common sense, and follow directions when picking out the colour]. You need to follow the directions EXACTLY from the kit. My dad had a nasty scratch on his saab 93, and bought this kit, plus the paint [specialty paint, but it was still duplicolour with some additive i think]. You couldn't tell when he was done, however if done wrong, it WILL look like ****!
