Can factory warranties be changed or extended
#4
I have a 60,000 mile warranty/5 years and it expires in June. I've recieved numerous offers from aftermarket companies via mail to extend my warranty, but have heard nothing from GM about extending it. IN my honest opinion, I would say not to worry about the warranty. You'll spend more on the warranty than it would cost to replace an engine, or transmission.

Yes, my moms bonnie came with a 3 year 40k mile arranty from GM and the dealer said GM sells extended warrantys for up to 100k miles (i forget how many years) but it was like $1100. In the long run, i think it will be worth it, and i wwill prpbably buy it for her. He said we have untill 3 yr/ 40k to extend it.

my dad'* vette has the extended GM warrenty. Nothing special about it. There are a bunch of different levels. Pay a little more and your deductable is lower...the normal stuff.

Yes there is extended warranty by GM. Best, and easiest place to get is the dealer you bought from. And hurry cause there is a time, mileage window your going to fall out of. With the issues our bonnies have and what you already paid,it'* only makes sense.
Several year and mileage options and three levels of protection on each.
Mine was Four Year-72,0000 miles Premium level @1600$ and it'* bumper to bumper
about the only things not covered in premium level are oil, filters, and brake pads.
I think the cheapest was 1200$ and aftermarket warranties are like the prescription discount cards, all but worthless

I had a GMPP extended warrenty on my 98 GTP that I more than came out ahead on. If my GXP wasn't a lease I would have extended the warrenty to 100k when I took the car off the lot.
