I wrote a note to PayPal. Here is it:

I has been a month since the arrival of the first incorrect package, and more than a month since the initial order.
I got an automatic response. This is in case you're interested.

Just this past hour, I wrote this to them via eBay, the way it worked last time.
I got the same, incorrect clear corners again. I left a complaint with PayPal, but no one has gotten back to me about this. Because eBay and PayPal have been informed that the second package is exactly as incorrect as the first, I am wondering if you have been informed of this and what you plan to do.
I'm going to take pictures of the two boxes and type out important label numbers, if any, to prove that I got the incorrect product again. Does that help? If you're still reading, please realize they haven't responded since the last time I quoted them.

I think you are going about it correctly. I'll bet you hear from them now. I don't believe they are dishonest, just very busy and not customer friendly. Remember you can leave negative feedback also, and there is a time limit, so check. If you have more time, wait until you hear from them again before leaving the neg. feedback. It'* a shame you have to go through all this for something that is relatively inexpensive to begin with.

Yeah, you're right, but at least I'm still not paying for the shipping! If it goes through right now, they will have spent far more on the shipping than they could have earned with the sale.

I'm not sure what experience you have had on Ebay, but I have had over 350 transactions and I only had one deal go bad. Your experience is not typical. I think you'll get it straightened out.

My eBay experience has been great so far. This is extremely unusual. By the way, I still haven't gotten a response from them. In the meantime, though, I sent an email to Thermaltake about a case I had just bought, and they responded within about 2 days with all the information I need. That'* pretty good. Others can do it, so why not these guys?

With the understanding that it has taken an unacceptably long time to try to get the right product shipped to you, and that you still don't have the right product, I think you're still dealing with a simple stocking error on the part of the seller. They keep sending you the wrong part, and it'* probably because they have them mislabeled in their own inventory system. It'* a relatively benign mistake, but one that is painfully frustrating when you're on the receiving end.

In general, the very best way to handle this type of problem is in person, with clear and concise verbal dialog. It is fairly simple for one person to explain to another person that this is not the part you ordered, and when they tried to correct the problem they sent you the same wrong part. However, you're dealing with communicating with them via eBay, and this can be tedious. If at all possible, pull their contact info and simply call them up and explain the situation. If not, ask for a refund and consider ordering again at a later date if/when they ever straighten out their mislabeled inventory, or if you can buy from a different seller.

I can pretty much guarantee that the seller is not trying to intentionally rip you off, but neither are they doing a very good job of correcting their error. Through no fault of your own, you've been dealing with not getting what you ordered for over a month. Paypal has a buyer protection policy, and when I've had problems with sellers who were impossible to communicate with, Paypal has refunded my money. (Paypal is owned by eBay, so they have a vested interest in making eBay customers happy.)

Ultimately, when I can't get a generally acceptable level of competence and communication from a seller, I take my business elsewhere. There is usually someone else willing to accept my business.

I recommend you give your seller one last hurrah attempt to correct the error. Communicate clearly as best you can; since email communication seems to be hit-or-miss, perhaps mail them an actual paper letter explaining the problem, and include a picture of what you're expecting, contrasting it to a picture of what they keep sending you. Give them plenty of contact information and they'll probably resolve the problem. The normal channels of email communication just aren't cutting it for this case, so go beyond and either telephone them or send them an actual letter.

That is great! I'll definitely try that. Who has pictures of 92-95 clear corners not installed? My 94 is not at my house at the moment, so I can't take pictures of those corners.

I just went over to eBay and typed in "Bonneville clear corner" and got plenty of hits on auctions for your corners, along with photos. Just go over there and grab a photo. I also see that your seller included a photo with their auction. Why not send them their own picture?

Indeed. That would really work out nicely. I love the irony of it!
