Default so uh, weight reduction?

in ligh tof the fact that it just cost me $50 to fill my tank im seriously tihnking about weight reduction, im talking pretty severe here, i made some rough calculations and think ican remove about 500 pounds removing the right stuff, of course this includes most of the interior tirm which would be ugly, any thoughts/suggestions?

as I've said before in other posts, if you're so worried about weight to gut your entire interior don't you think that you're probably driving the wrong kind of car?

Weight reduction won't do much for fuel mileage. Only for launching at the track. If 500 pounds saved you .5 mpg, I'd be surprised.

Inflate your tires to the max, and keep your foot out of it.

think about it this way. You get around 28 MPG. Do you know what econo cars like the Civic and Corolla get? They really don't get THAT much better than what you are getting right now. The corolla gets mid 30'* and I'm sure the Civic is pretty similar. This is for a small, SLOW, cramped car. Add in the fact that the insurance will be higher and you will have to pay for another new car, you won't be saving money. You're best off to keep what you have.
