Just for the record, every time the differential pin went in project turbo saturn I was able to drive it, just alot of extra heat and it wouldnt hold any fluid. Speaking of which, Im replacing another saturn transmission today, gotta love these POS trannys =)
Also willwren, its quite easy to replace the differential and diff cover while the tranny is still in the car, Ive done it before on our van which was also a 4T60-E

Will needs to stay series one so he can keep us S1'ers up to date on performace stuff.
Along with Dr. Jay that is... he just seemed to have too big of a budget :P

You couldn't GIVE me a series 2 to swap in. No offense, but I prefer the hp and tq curves to peak at lower rpm'*.
And with a cam properly selected, I can make some gains in the 3,000-6,000 rpm range

On the other hand I have never seen an L27 throw a rod... I have seen 1 LN3 drop a rod( ran low on oil ).... So far I feel that the older series I engies were built better... But then again look at how many 3800 engines have been built over the years...lol... Thats not a bad track record as compared to the ford 1.9'*, 3.8'* and 4.0'* I have seen blow up...lol
