Well...depending on your resources available it'* not bad.

Support the engine. Remember how mine was done at INTENSE for the transmission. Same way. Then jack the car up as high as possible (figure enough to get the trans out fron under). Then undo the axles, trans mounts, ball joints and power steering rack from the subframe. (Any related wiring/ps cooler lines). Then the subframe can be removed as one piece.

Then support and unbolt the trans from the engine, remove.

Sounds pretty easy and in the right circumstances it'* not too hard, just a little time consuming. If you are having it done at a shop, I'd ask if there was any issues with them putting a different subframe back on. They would most likely take if off instead of seperating it.

Well if you drive them both the same way, your SSEi should get better gas mileage than a 3.06 trans. Your 95 has 2.97.

Yea don, you made me SOOO much happier when you told me that it was a 94 and had 3.06, it made this whole trans drying thing feel like it might be worth it in the end

It'* nice to see a good spin put on a dead trans. Are you able to put a deposit on one to be held for a couple weeks?

even without the money, it wouldnt hurt to call now any inquier if they'd hold it for you when you can afford a deposit.
