1997 Buick PArk Ave/1997 Bonneville tranny swap ?'*
What tranny is in the 1997 Buick Park Avenue (L36)? I just picked a Park Avenue up that needs a tranny and was hoping to swap the one from my 1997 SSE parts car.
Anyone know what the difference is? I looked on www.car-part.com and it only shows 1997 Buick Park Ave and Riviera trannies, whereas with the Bonneville it shows the Olds 88'* and LSS'* as well as Buick Lesabres.
Why the diff? Different mounts? If so Big Jeff says that all 1997 L36 engined trannies are interchangeable (gearing aside) as the 1997 trannies had all the mounting holes in them from the factory. I hope it is just a matter of swapping the mounts.
If anyone has or can access this info ASAP I'd really appreciate it as I have an appt to have it swapped but don't want to if it isn't going to work.
A big thanks to anyone who has the proper info.

As far as I know it should be the same casing etc because it'* still a 4T65E. The only possible differences are mounts and fittings for tranny lines.
I would expect you could do the swap if you use the mounts, bracketing and tubing/hoses from the Park Avenue.
Cheers,
