I also have a different PCM, if that matters.

Who of the above posters has done TPS tuning and such?

I've done no tuning yet, and shift at
42~43 MPH,
79~81MPH
Then i bounce off a dumb limiter before the next shift

97' LSS L67 2.97 ratio
1-2nd- 48mph @5900
2-3rd- 94mph @5800
govorner hits at 108mph

93' 88 L27 2.84 ratio
1-2nd- 42mph *no tach*
2-3rd- 80mph
governed @ 115mph

Its sad when the 93' with the L27 has a higher top speed than the 97' with the L67. However, in the 93' it crawls to that 115 but the 97' pulls right up there and then its like hitting a brick wall.

I have to agree with that... my 93 SSE with the L27 had a top speed on 112-115 depending on the conditions, while my 2000 Regal GSE hit 108 and acted retarded until it dropped below I think 105. No Clue what my current L36 98 Lumina LTZ can do as the tireds aren't the best at speeds above 80 and the 93 SSEi is still at the shop and probably won't be on the road until next year unless i come into money or a dirt cheap L67 bottom end.

IIRC my moms SSEi hits the limiter in 2nd at 102mph...first gear hits the limiter at around 55mph. 3rd gear should go about 160...except the PCM in her car has a limiter at 145... Have never been over 115 in that car, so its not a problem.
