96 trans and 92 SC?

You mean the venerable longer-lasting 4T60E and the 94/95 SC?

The dealer had told me, too, that the trans was changed out and replaced with one from a 96. I didn't hear about the SC though. They were both interesting cars, but I agreed with Nick that he should keep looking - too many problems.

Nick'* 40th SE is as clean as any I've ever seen..............body and interior are flawless!

Good to finally meet you in person, Nick! Aw geez, we should've taken a picture of our first AZ mini-meet ....DOH!

Yep, a 94 motor with a 92 SC and a 96 trans, he said they had a heck of a time to get it to go together and he can't seem to get rid of the stumble.

Hans ran a carfax for me and the interesting thing I found was that white car has 30,000 more miles on it then was recorded on the carfax as of 4/04.

The trans is identical, but newer, so that shouldn't be a problem. (minor electrical changes would have been necessary). The SC and TB are funny. They would have had to go to a 92/93 TB with that switch, and I'm betting the MAF tables are all wrong in the PCM. They probably need an AFC controller to get the AFR correct.

if the trans are identical, I wonder why he said they had to get 1 side axel because the original axels were different length!

This guy was piecing these cars together and selling them as whole...
