well L27 here is the story....
there are 5 different spring rates for each suspension level...so the buick could have the softest FE1 and you could have the firmest FE1, seats also make a BIG difference
as for the seats, your car eventho is a SLE may have had an option package that had the split bench, when the SLE package was added the bucket seats went in
and finally the 140 amp......it really doesnt matter how many features and options are in the car.....Look at Jrs3800....he has a Barebones 95 SE and has the 125 amp Alternatior stock
the RPO'* dont lie

RPO'* are at times reused... Its made the research on it very difficult... But I have tried... I just haven't had the time to work on it lately, of for quite a while now... But if anyone finds something they would like added, than I'm more than happy to do so if its PM'd to me, so I can save it...
Onto the spring codes...
Ok, remember that the SLE is actually an SE Bonneville, with a package upgrade... Stock your car may have had a split 55/45 seat, but an option package like 1SC or 1SD may have changed that as well as the H4U.... There are certain packages that change or add to a bonneville... Also remember that RPO stands for Regular Production Options... So it may not be exactly what you see everyday...
I do have a bare bones bonnie with the 1SC equipment group... Its a strange bonne... Halfway between unloaded and loaded... Funky car it is...lol
In any event yes you have the FE1 suspension... Known as soft ride... I will agree that even my FE1 is a chunk stiffer than any Buick LeSabre or Park Avenue I have riden in...
The struts they use can make a diffrence as well... Didn't buick use Dynaride for a long time?
The Bonnevilles had a more sport tuned suspension just for being a Pontiac, more sporty in a sense as opposed to buicks ultra smooth ride...
