Hey guys and gals. Just want to see something. I have a 1993 bonneville SSEI. What is the average fuel mileage for this car? What Are you guys getting. I had an SSE before without the SC and I got great mileage. This one, I get about 420-470 KM a tank!?!

SC does not reduce mileage at all. Until you start laying on the throttle. Actually the SC'd cars typically have higher gearing and can do very well on mileage.

I have a 93 ssei and I was getting around 20-21 mpg with a bad return line to the sending unit and my *.C. was going out. I would check the filter.

My speed was mainly 60-70 mph stock, as far as filter type I don't know haven't replaced mine yet, but will be when I replace my *.C. and fix the sending unit leak.

On my '92 SSEi, I used to get about 22 mpg. I stayed out of boost for the most part. I would have probably gotten better mileage, but I used premium fuel with ethanol and that imposes a mileage penalty. If the oxygen sensor is past 60K miles and not working as it did when new, that can cause a pretty serious mileage drop. If you replace it, get an AC Delco, not Bosch.

Default O2 sensors

Are the O2 sensors hard to do. Is it worth doing them by myself.?
