Default Anyone got a stock 92-99 catalytic converter sitting around?

Didn't know if this should go here or in '92-'99 forum...but here goes.
(Mods feel free to move)

Anyone got a stock '92-'99 cat sitting around?

I'd like a photo looking down into the "throat" or entrance of the converter, from the 4-bolt flange end. I want to know if about 3 inches length of 2.5" OD exhaust pipe could be inserted into the entrance of the cat without meeting an obstruction.

Thanks.

I just sent one to Hans and I think the answer is yes. But then, according to Boosty, I'm an old codger and my memory isn't all that...what was I saying...? Oh yeah, I don't have the catalytic convertor anymore - you might PM Hans and see if he hasn't installed it yet. He likes to take pichers.

Don,

That W-body cat kinda looks like the one that'* on my wife'* 2004 LeSabre.

The cat on my '98 LeSabre H-body is different.

(I will say, the opening on that one looks to neck down to about 2 inches inside :? )

WIth the help of a chain-type tailpipe cutter rented from Autozone, a length of 2.5" OD 409 stainless 16 gauge pipe donated by a new pal I made at the local muffler shop, a 1/2" deep socket (and an Accuseal clamp to put it back together securely ) I was able to completely remove the stock cat and answer all my questions:

1) The DP to cat flange gasket turned out to be reuseable.
2) The opening of the stock cat had no obstruction to the insertion of 2.5" length of 2.5" OD pipe.
3) AccuSeal exhaust clamps are the greatest invention of all time.

I'm now all prepped for my exhaust mod in the near future
