You noticed that huh? L67'* only had one wire O2'*, 27'* had 3 wires....I am thinking about rewiring to make it a three wire, but I could just use the purple signal wire on the 3 wire for now and it will still work.

Siggy quote material there!

Yes, it should work very well. There are a few things that still need to be done though. L27'* have their knock sensor up front, L67'* in the back, so I need to move it. Other than that little external difference, there isn't much else to do.

First thing I said about the valley was That'* prolly cleaner than Don'* car.

Only pic I ever saw of Don was at Wrens on the wall.. I think it was taken with a long range telephoto lens about 10 MILES away. You can make out a person standing by the sign for Titusville. And up til then..I only knew Don as a set of greasy hands..

long as we are in Gen..

Only thing more elusive on film than Don is actual full shots of his cars.

Here you go, Bill!

I don't know HOW I missed this thread, but I'm glad I saw it today. This is a great trial project and looks like fun to boot! Brad and Don, I'm going to kick your collective as$es for not letting me in on the fun!

Looking forward to seeing the Bride of Frankenstien in a few weeks though.

Wow, I started reading this thread from the first post on, and I can't believe the support that this is getting. In light of all this, I am requesting that this procedure go into tech info once all the changes, both drastic and subtle, have been identified, as it seems alot more people are starting to become more ambitious with their own little projects. So far, here are the differences identified to make this work:

Major differences: Aside from the */c and lower intake, there is also the harmonic balancer and the accessory drive, harness, and computer...I think this much is common knowledge by now, but might not be for someone just starting off.

Minor differences: Knock sensor is located in the back of the L67, and in front on an L27...easilly moved, but recommend a new knock sensor and just leave the L27 in place, unconnected. A/C bracket may or may not be different...won't know how much until the old block is out, but it is different in some small way from looking at it. There is a difference in O2 assemblys as previously stated. The oil filter adapter is different as the L67'* have oil cooler inlet/outlets.

I will post more differences when we know more next week.
