Good day every one I am a returning member from T.O. I previously owned two bonnevilles, a 91 SE and a 92 SSEi. Then I got my self a 97 Aurora and so far it has been really good to me. Recently I got a new Job and decided to update my Aurora with a newer Bonneville, but I have some problems deciding what Bonneville I want.

Here is the deal! I know that I want an SSEi and I want one with a L67 in it. And so far i have two options.

I found a 98 SSEi with 102 K KM on it and its black on black (the way I like them) for 8000 Cdn.
My second choice is a 00 SSEi White with unknown interion and 150 k km on it for 9000 Cdn.

So basically I am not sure which gen to get. Are 2000'* are some what less reliable because its the first year in production?

Any suggestions will be highly appreciated!

i Personally would go with the 98 (that being said i have a 03)

If you can talk him down a bit the 98 sounds good, but $9000 for a 2000 is not bad at all,
I know it doesnt mean much because of the prive but my work has a 2003 SSEi (silver)for $20,000ish :? (City Buick)

Knowing this forum, and the ablility of the gearheads here to figure out anything, I would get the one I want and wrench whatever goes wrong

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there would be issues with the body change, b/c they both have the L67. I would still go with the 98, though, I think just a better looking car.

no there are always issues with body changes, for instance the 00+ cars had rear window problems :?

I'd take the 98..

I'd take a 99 over an 00 any day of the week, twice on sunday...
The handling is numb, you're tied to one battery for replacements, you're replacement parts cost more (tail lights, etc, your antenna is goofy, your radio is on a ribbon, the windows break, the steering column clunk has not been resolved yet...

Just my opinion for what it'* worth, but the first 00+ I drove was 8-Ball... It does have better things to it, but I dunno if it'* enough for me to switch. I'm just not a fan of integrating EVERYTHING together.

98 is lighter.

98 is cheaper

98 does not have the build quality problems of the 2000+
