Default To those of you who want a bra...NEVER WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

take my advice...don't ever EVER BUY ONE OF THESE PIECES OF *^$#!!!!!! it is a complete and TOTAL waste of money!!!!

My new 2000 Bonneville (a week old to me tomorrow) had a bra put on it by the dealership when it was bought for me. That'* ONE WEEK AGO. I took the bra off today because i know they are bad...and LOOK AT WHAT IT HAS ALREADY DONE in a week!!!

and NO, that light spot is NOT the clouds reflecting in the sky...it'* my paint faded to rat $h!t!!! and yes i am furious...I can't get it off!! I've tried the color wax, buffing, you name it. I just went out and bought one of those clay bars and i hope to hell it works...other than that the piece of $h!t is going back on the hood part.
Save your money...you think you are buying it to cover up imperfections, well you're only making it worse!! i am SO not impressed!

THAT'* HORRIBLE!!! When you bought it did it have the bra on? If it did maybe that spot was there and they covered it so you wouldn't see it?? Is it oxidized or something? I thought they were clouds in the reflection, but if that'* all faded paint I'd be as pissed as you are. I wonder why it'* faded only in that area. Maybe they washed it with the bra on and soap got stuck under it. I don't know, but it shouldn't fade like that, especially in a week. Try putting some rubbing compound on it too.

Wow that truely sucks for you, i thought it was a refelction of a cloud too until i saw the spot where the trees would have blocked it.
The only thing i could think of that would cause it is just what bonnie94sse mentioned.
Now calm down there, your about to give yourself a nose bleed! Dont worry though, i think the hood part of the bra looks best by itself....especially on black

go back and give the dealer hell, maybe threaten lawsuit? (If you have some decent evidence that they knew about it...) Either way, take out your frustrations on them, dont let it all build up inside...

Well here is my 0,02$. I had a bra on my cutlass from before I bought it till the day I got rid of it. I took it off a few times but have washed the car a few times with it on. There was no fading at all.
Now there is no dealer that I know that would "give" you a car bra without it coming with it on. I figure it was like that and they put the bra on to cover it up in the first place and hoped that you would never take it off, or by the time you did you would think the bra did it.

One week is not long enough for that to happen, hell the weather hasn't even been that hot and sunny this year yet in T.O.

I think is you go back and see them and confront them they just might fess up to it.

Oh God hon...I am so sorry! Call a lawyer before you go (many will give free consultations) so you have an idea of what the dealership'* liability is and a bargaining chip. And I know this sounds sexist, but this is the way of the world (trust me, I've been there )...bring a man with you in case the dealer assumes that a pretty little lady won't be a problem. And start out very nice and polite giving them full benefit of the doubt...they may work with you so they don't lose a customer. If all else fails...HARDBALL!!!
I've got my fingers crossed.
