Well a few things were wrong with the car the 01...

An oil leak confirmed by a mechanic, plus the check oil guage low oil pressure on the information drivers console is beeping that and wont go off, I noticed the gauge also is not moving even when you turn the car off. So it seems it is just the oil sensor module might be bad. But my deep gut tells me to not do the deal with this car, I don't know why but I just don't feel right giving up a paid for mustang for a car with high mileage and problems like this one has. So I am still on the lookout for a better deal.

Give Ebay a try, a few members have found some nice rides there. Craigslist is another place to check out. These wont be a trade, but you never know.

Well I bought the car and it is mine now! YAHOOO!! I took the car to a mechanic and he says its a gm part for the oil sensor or guage thats the problem. So I will take it to the local pontiac dealer in the morning. I also have a scytek remote start and unlock keyfob that doesnt seem to be working...any ideas on how to program it? I like the car overall they did a nice job cleaning it up. I got floormates too. Wish me luck on the oil pressue guage. anyone every run accross this before and is it an easy fix granted I am not mechanically inclined.

Well the guage is not even working...would that also be the sensor or something else. like the guage itself?

Because it'* a 2000+ only a dealership with a tech2 can program the FOB.

If you have low or no oil pressure, the engine would be tapping. My money is on a bad sender unit. Price is between $40 and $50 and is a 15 min job.
