I've got 35% and it really hasn't bothered me at all while backing up at night. Willwren has put halogens in his backup lights....you can search for his thread about them.

Karl..that metalized one sounds like the Onyx. And If you can get it for that price..hit it. BUT.. pull your back deck and loosen the third brake light before you get there..then pull the light for them.

That way..they will find it easier to do the whole window w/o cutting around stuff. Looks 1000 times better than cutting around.

We put 20% tint in the rear side windows and back window in my wife'* Grand Prix GT. It'* no worse to see through than wearing sunglasses. It hasn't been a problem, and it keeps the car cooler in bright sunlight. We got it after we had a child last year, to keep the direct sun off my son in his carseat in the back. I'm going to have my Bonneville done this year.

I definitely second the advice to pull your back deck trim and the third brakelight if you aren't sure if your installer is going to do that.

The "D" in DR Tint is David (Boyer). I haven't seen him in several years but his work was quite good. I'm not sure if he'* still partners at that shop it'* been so long though.

My opinions:
If tinting the front windows is illegal, leave 'em stock... or move to Northfield.
35% is a good combination of tint and visability but will appear lighter with the front windows not tinted
Definately remove the rear deck and third brake light so the tint can go all the way down to the bottom of the window.
IIRC, there are some brighter aftermarket reverse bulbs that help with tint. LED? Halogen?

As well as the look, that'* what I want it for...

When I e-mailed them, Richard replied (must be the R)... As for the backup bulbs, I've posted this before. Will found is brighter backups at AutoZone but they don't carry them anymore. Brighter bulbs will mean more heat and a better chance of melting my tail lights. Haro tried some cheapies from JC Whitney but they didn't make a difference. As for LEDs, they'll be brighter, but they won't spread the light as far out on the sided... They'll be more focused on the rear.... The only real answer is to add another set of reverse lights under the bumper. Not really interested in doing that.... I've got Thursday and Friday off so I'll get it done this week.

I didn't think about pulling the rear deck and third brake light... I'll do it.

To pull the rear deck, I have to pull the rear seat, right?

You have to pull the back seat backrest. To do that, there'* a couple large flat stamped bolts over the seatbelt bolts that you have to remove, and to get to them you really need to remove the seat part of the back seat. The seat part is removed just by shoving it back and pulling it up. then you remove those flat bolts and take out the back seat backrest, then the deck trim just pulls out. You might want to pull off your speaker grilles first, but if you do, don't just reach in the open grille hole and pull on the deck trim because it can tear. Just pull it from the front on each side and sort of wriggle it out. There'* a sheet of sticky goo-paper over the third brakelight. The hex-head sheet metal screws that hold it on are underneath the goo-paper. You can see pics of it before and after in this thread where I covered my decklid in Dynamat Extreme. Before pics are on page 1, after pics are on page 2. I removed all the goo paper and replaced some with Peel-N-Seal and the one over the brake light with thermafoil insulation and aluminum tape.
