Default test drove 01 SLE today

First off I really dislike salesmen.............

Started off yesterday

I go requesting for a Buick PA, Olds Aurora, and naturally yes...........

anyway, I tell the guy what I'm looking to spend I drive the PA first,
The PA was a solid car I thought, had a nice stiff ride to it for 85k (it'* a 97) however, I didn't like the color (silvermist yuk) no Olds were at the lot at all......

I ask if he had any bonnies for my range, he relpied "Yes three" but insted of bringing a bonne the **** brings a STS? WTF? just for the Hell of it I drive it but before I take off in this car I ask him to bring up a bonnie a SLE prefferably,

I take the STS out for a spin knowing all the time what I really want to drive, The STS was pretty impressive though just not my style.

I get back from the drive and once agian no bonnie!? SO at this point I'm like Hmmm.......
After driving the STS I feel like I'm being Swindled so I leave the lot.

I get there today and ask for a Bonnie and what Do I get? A 300C? what'* wrong with these guys, by now I'm thinking I don't look like a bonnie driver. I ask one MORE time to drive one, and finally he brings one up, a Silver 01 SLE with roof/leather and a bubbly hood I drive it and I was pretty amazed how it rode to have 90k on it.

they wanted 10995 for it and I told them they were outrageously crazy I told them I just seen one earlier on autotrader.com for 7995 with 53k and similar options, They offered me 1500 for mine but I wasn't happy with the price so I guess I'll head up to Indianapolis monday to check some more out.

mista_sse, sorry to hear of your woes with the salesman. The story you told was kind of humorus though. I mean wtf, you told them you wanted to drive a bonnie, and they kept bringing other cars. You are right, they are out of thier minds asking $10,995 for that 01 SLE. Keep looking mista, something will come up. In the mean time, the green lovely is still running strong? Good luck in your quest, brotha.

Yeah way back when I was looking for a LSS the dealer called and said come in we have one and then pulled up an Aurora. It worked cause I bought the Aurora..lol

Anyway that sts must have had alot of eye candy but not the look or sport feel of a Bonneville.

10k for a 90k mile 01 SLE?

There is a 2002 SSEi at my local dealer for 9,550 with 60k on it. I think I may have talked my dad into trading in his Durango gas-sucker for this SSEi. It is black with tan leather, very clean car. It doesn't have the swoopies though.

I was looking around the dealers in Augusta this weekend, and there are only 2 Bonnies for sale in all of Augusta, a black 04 SE and a gold-ish 04 SLE.

[quote="mista_sse"]what'* wrong with these guys, by now I'm thinking I don't look like a bonnie driver.quote]

I'm thinking maybe they were trying to get you to check out something similar size wise and such that might have been a few more bucks.

yea, they tried to get me into 3 cars before the SLE all silver, PA, STS, and 300M

I liked all three, the 300M was an 02 but didn't ride like the SLE, it had about 53k on it. Interior wise the 300M was much better than the bonnie, but the SLE just rode better (I don't know if it was cause it was just a drop of gas in the 300 and a full tank on the SLE ) I wish the two could have borrowed features to make an smashing combination.

oh, and the SLE wasn't his it was another dealerships out there that might have something to do with it (fair ground tent sale)
